Just some thoughts here.

Now with iTunes, you have all your music, movies, podcasts, TV shows, etc in one place. (so - on a sidenote - tecnically, it shouldn't be called iTunes anymore)

The odd one out is iPhoto though. To view, edit and group your images/photographs, you still have to use iPhoto.

Am I the only one who thinks that it would be better to merge iTunes and iPhoto and make it a one stop shop for all your media?
Maybe even make up a new name for it along the way? (maybe just iLife)

Are there any known plans of Apple doing so?

What's your opinion on this?

I kinda like them separate. I think that a photo is on a bit of a different class than movies, music, TV shows, etc. I don't think that I would be completely against it if Apple did merge the two though, but I do prefer them separate. I do see your point though.
