Hi all,
I need an external 2-bay easy swappable HD enclosure for two new Samsung Spinpoint 1TB drives looking like this (or simlar):
http://www.cooldrives.com/esdudrmienfo.html
Why not order from this site then? Well, firstly, they have gotten really bad reviews (the seller that is) and secondly, I cannot get them here in the UK.
My aim is to store all my lossless audio files on one of the TB drives and keep a backup at work. I want to be able to (from time to time) simply bring home the spare HD and quickly insert it into the bay (preferably from the front), sync the HD's and bring back the back-up HD to work.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

A Google search of the terms above yielded a lot of options:

Here's a great looking one to consider. OWC products are great!:

Thanks ggjstudios. I did a search online (google etc) and could not come up with anything that looked as good as the one in the picture. I need the hot-swappable feature and preferably from the front.
Thanks for your input though.

I have the OWC drive. It is awesome, alas not hot-swappable.
If I come across anything, I'll post it.

Thanks Xfujinon.
I came across this one: http://www.icydock.com/product/mb561s-4s.html
which looks really cool. I have an Iomega Max drive with two 500 GB drives in it and if I could put those together with the two 1TB that would be brilliant!
However, it only supports eSATA and not FireWIre which I need.
Does anyone know if a similar item exists for FW/USB?

Check with Wiebetech (http://www.wiebetech.com)
SilverSATA II FH. Be prepared to part with a considerable amount of money, though.

If someone can find a nice enclosure, fwdepot.com has
IF8UC-S0 SATA to FireWire 800/USB2.0 Bridge Board for
$79
I also know a place for removable SATA HD trays.
So what would be needed:
dual bay, nice looking, enclosure with 3-pin power connector
Also would need firewire cable, internal short SATA cables (anyone know where to find good quality ones at good price?)
Will probably end up costing more than $160 though
