iPod Old Library (PC) to New Computer (Mac)

Is there any way to move my library from my XP based laptop to my new Macbook Pro? I have an external Hard Drive and a couple iPods.

I tried moving my library through my external harddrive, but all of the purchased songs no longer automatically catagorize themselfs into the "purchased" playlist. I also lost a lot of album art and all my play counts.

Is there a way to just duplicate my iTunes identically on my new Computer??
