Hi,

I am using 10.5.3 and like to zoom in on things once in a while. For this I use the zoom feature (System Prefs >*Universal Access >*Zoom).

When Zoom is disabled, the zoom in and zoom out hotkeys get greyed out in the prefs panel.

When Zoom is enabled, the zoom in and zoom out hotkeys show up in black in the prefs panel.

When I turn Zoom on, it works as expected.

When it's been a while since I've used Zoom (say a week), it never works even though it is on. When I go to my Prefs panel, the Zoom function is set to ON, but the hotkeys are greyed out. I have to turn Zoom to OFF, then back to ON for the hotkeys to be black again, and then it works.

I did NOT have this problem with 10.4.x, and it is quite the annoyance.

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Thanks,

Albert.

Some more info about this problem:

zoom works fine.

I use fast user switching to go to another user account.

when I come back zoom is still ON but no longer works! and the hotkeys are greyed out in the prefs panel.

This seems like a bug to me.

Albert.
