The contents of my pictures folder have disappeared , no system changes (although I did install the rapidweaver demo .)

I can find & view all the pictures although only if I search in the finder , I don't really use iPhoto so I have only a few in there & what is supposed to be there is, so no problem there then except that there is nothing , not even the iPhoto folder in the pictures folder.

Up to now I have restarted , searched the web for the last 4 hours ( thought about posting on apple discussions for a while ) then came here 😉 , read the various guides without out much luck so I figured I would ask for help ...help 🙂

Edit ...> no other folders are affected

Looks to be that your pics are in a different directory than they were originally. Just search the pics in spotlight and hold the mouse cursor over the name of the pic and the path should show to where the pics now reside.

Thank you

... it seems they have gone to my desktop for some reason , any ideas ?
