Seu Jorge - The Life Aquatic: Studio Sessions

It's a bunch of David Bowie covers done entirely in Portuguese. He was in the movie "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", and he just said random things in Portuguese, and also played many of the songs at random times, and in random scenes. 😉 One of Bill Murray's best films.

Amazed no one has said this one :

You have to have the theme tune from Hawaii 5-0 ("Book 'im, Danno, murder one !")

Go to the iTunes Store, Type in "Jawaiian"

You'll get three os so artists, click on Rise up, Then, go to "Top Rated iMixes on the lower right hand side, Click on Radio Hawaiian Three or Island Groove.

I just returned from Maui and this is what they are playing on the radio stations - it's good stuff to get or remain in the groove.

Enjoy.

i would certainly recommend Iz, that was my first thought upon reading the thread title.

Great suggestion. You could say he was a "really big star" in Hawaii.

thanks a lot guys. thanks for all the suggestions.

am now thinking how to segue to some "modern" dance music for the ladies...

I would go a different route and play upbeat lounge music -- many people seem to do this with Hawaii inspired parties. More danceable and more upbeat than island tunes.

E.g., the whole "Hotel Costes" CD series, Verve Remixed album, Montefiori Cocktail, etc. Especially with the Hotel Costes CDs you can't go wrong for an island inspired party -- cool, funky, fun, and beautiful.

There isn't that much "dance" party music. I would just play anormal music so that every one could get thee groove thing on.😛

If you need Hawaiian music, I would go with brada Iz. And yes, he was Hellas fat... He sadly posed shirtless on his albums...😱
