It seems like the guy I am going with cannot take me down until 5PM-ish. I pray that 16GB White will still be in stock by then. :/

I was told they had enough to sell by "Julian" at the store... just don't be there at ten. I want my white iPhone first.

Hahaha, I'll probably call them at 3PM. Just to make sure. I really want this phone for a ~birthday present~ to myself.

FS and TS fresh out on Saturday... epic fail. TS got a shipment today, FS did not. That's surprising.

FS says no iPhones today.

How sad. I might as well order though AT&T now.

Surprised at the shortage. I checked the Apple availability last night, and I think there was only 1 store in the US with a 16GB phone - NYC 5th Ave.
Oh well, I was planning on going next weekend, but now the word is 2-4 weeks before supplies are normal. Hopefully I can get one before my trip in late August. I hope Apple doesn't pull a Nintendo with the 3G iPhone availability.
Hopefully the shortage means they can get the servers and such up to speed and be ready to process the lines faster when stock returns...

Just in case anyone was still wondering, I dropped by the Fashion Show today to bring in a machine for AppleCare. Despite what is on the Apple.com site, they did indeed have inventory and there was a line of about 20.

Yea, FS and TS show stock of all 3 models for tomorrow morning. Stock in the US is much better now than 3 days ago when they were practically sold out. I'll probably be in line Saturday morning at TS or FS, whoever has the 16GB black.

Got to TS at 8, stood in line for 30, they ran out of 16s 10-15 ppl before me, I left. Oh well. Should have got up at 6 like I had planned. I'll try again tomorrow...

Hey, I know this thread has long since rested, but since it's full of Las Vegas iPhone owners, I thought it'd be the best place for it.
I was talking to a fella today much smarter than I in the tech field. He was talking about Las Vegas getting some serious 3G upgrade soon with AT&T. Something about this being a testing city.
I had a heck of a time finding anything about this online. Anyone else seen something about it?

Not I. Hope it's true though. My reception (3G or otherwise on the iPhone) sucks donkey a**.

Well if they upgrade to HSDPA 7.2, the iPhone chip will support it, the question is will AT&Ts backhaul support twice as fast internet speeds.
Reception-wise, yes, this city could definitely use an upgrade. What I'd like to see is that old vacated TDMA spectrum (circa 1997) in the 850MHz range be used for more 3G coverage. The lower frequency means better signal propagation.

I've heard nothing of it, but get four or five bars everywhere around town. Can't say that I'd love bumped speed, though!

Is anyone in Vegas going to be camping out for the 3G S?
I planned on waiting until next month when I was eligible for a full subsidy, but after today's announcement (linky (http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=1574)), that's no longer a factor for me.
Of course, pre-ordering is useless at this point, so, I'm left with one option.
Don't tell me I'll be the only MR person in Vegas waiting in line... ;)

Well, looks like I am back again for another year of iPhone goodies!:D
It's funny how we are all meeting up again, especially myself since I started this thread one year ago. I love how Apple brings us together.
I'll be probably getting to Town Square location late late late tonight to just relax and wait. No real big deal this time around for the 3Gs but I just enjoy hanging out and waiting for something. It's a rush.
What are all you doing this time around?

I'll be at the Town Square opening tomorrow. Any idea when the line starts to form? Or how long the wait is?

Tough to say, last year I got there at around 5:30 when the phones went on sale at 8, there were about 50+ in front of me. And since their was major downtime on AT&T Activation servers freaking out, it took till probably 10 am to get in the store and buy the phone. This time around, I don't think their will be nearly as much hype and with the pre-orders, people wont be freaking out and waiting in line for a phone when they are already guaranteed one. I will be going down at around 3am ish tonight though just for fun and to kick it for 4 hours, anyone wanna join?

I was thinking I'd show up around 5, but maybe a couple hours earlier might be a good idea..

Hey guys, I've searched a few times for an iPhone 4 meet-up thread for Las Vegas and haven't had any luck. I am coming in from out of town and reserved my phone at the forum shop location at caesar's palace. I would like to know what to expect....
1) what were the lines like the last few launches?
2) where/what time to line up. ie: outside the mall? inside?
3) should I wait until the evening to pick up? I called and they said they close at 11pm so...
thanks for the help! I look forward to seeing everyone when I pick up my iPhone 4 on the other side of the country! thanks

All the posts before auburnfan24 are from the 3G/3GS launch.
I'm in NLV. Far as hell away from town square.
but, I have advantage because of the AT&T stores out here being almost close to deserted.
