i'm going out to the falls shortly. the store opens at 9am, 1 hr earlier than aventura and i have a lot to do today so i need to get done earlier rather than later.

just got home from the falls apple store. I got there at 7:30 and was about the 35th in line for the 9am opening. They didn't open until 9:12 and the first person walked out with their phone at 9:25. If you are an existing ATT customer with an upgrade eligible phone and you know what you want the process is super fast. From the time I was attended to until i walked out it was about 10 min. they do all the upgrading and paying at a handheld unit.

Delays can obviously come from not being eligible, needing to set up a new contract, porting a number and activation if Itunes is down.

I walked into the store at about 9:45 was attended to at 10:30 and was out at 10:40 being the 35th or so inline. When i left, there were probably about 75 to 100 people outside plus the 25 or so in the store.

From everyone i talked to, they had a lot of phones left.

yup.. I was #52 in line.. got there around 7:45am... i was there until 11:30 thats when i finally got my phone... ACTIVATION was quick... apple has plenty of phones left, but they are going quickly. I heard that by the end of tonight there will be no more...

i don't know what number i was, but i was a little of the way behind you. i got to The Falls at around 8:15am and was purchasing/authorizing at 12:15pm. i was totally disappointed at the lack of accessories available - a few cases and no car chargers to suit my needs (need an iphone/ipod compatible charger with a minijack out... anybody?). My old Belkin charger is not a compatible access.

Glad I got it today so I can spend the weekend getting familiar with it, etc. The line was totally worth it and I'd consider staying over somewhere next year just for the heck of it (time permitting) for the 32GB iPhone...

Wow you guys have been busy today. Like they said above if you are already with at&t and owned an iphone/or are eligible to upgrade the process goes by really fast. Hey Rican enjoy your iPhone! You deserve it after waiting that long ass line and then not getting one.
Anyway, ive been playing with the features/apps and I really like this iphone. It has so much potential with the new apps that I cant wait to see what else developers come up with.

I got the unlimited plan cause I regularly hit 1500, but now with Aim, and hopefully MSN coming soon. I may just go down to the 1500 plan.

these things tend to hold their value pretty well so im sure i could prob atleast get my money back down the line if i decide to sell..

They aren't sold out. There was production problem with the white ones and they won't be ready on launch day. The only one available in 8gb is the older iphone 3GS but that doesn't come out until the 24th either. My advice, Spend the extra 100 and get the iPhone 4.
