72% in favour of Jobs.
Seems like Alvin was basing his ruling on money and how many computers have windows on them then who has change the world with it's innovations.

Not really considering that every other week Microsoft is facing some kind of charge in one way or another.
Using the fact that Windows resides on a lot more system doesn't really mean much considering that a lot of the boom came from the "golden age" of computing where everything was cheap and people had lots of money to blow.
It all depends on what you mean by power. I mean, if you consider the fact that a lot of what Apple does goes through the system pretty smoothly (not having to have their products approved by the courts, etc..) then you might say Steve is more powerful.
But make no mistake. The most powerful man is the guy who invented the pet rock. Now that guy was a big shot. ;)

Good point, Twitch. They may have 33 times the market share, but they have a very little community ;)

Precisely. Ever heard of Dell Rumors .com? I'm not even going to look, because who could even rouse half a care about their actions!

Warning, MS bashing...
Microsoft, The maker of the innovative ActiveDesktop. They may as well rename it, ActiveRemoteRootVenerability now and get it over with.
Who would blame them...

You don't need web communities when you have good PR, and when you dont try and hide when you next product will be released.

steve has the most influence as apple releases the most innovetive products where he leads others follow ie. the mouse gui's, usb, 64 bit prosesors (that work well coughItaniumcough), shake, final cut pro, the list is endless bill may have more money but steve changes the world bill makes it crash too much and update to a pointless update.
(who was that russian bloke that made unix?)
go steve

We must agree Bill Gates is the most powerful men in the IT business, that is why people think they they have to buy Windows systems ( not that they want to... ). We are the happy few who know better... :p
