Reverse typing - is it possibel

I have been asked to help out at a local village school, and they want me to print some thing in reveres English :), EG ... To day is Friday .. yadirF si yad oT.

I am using 10.5.3 and have Neoffice installed , does any one know how i can simply do this on my new iMac please

Not sure if there is an easy way, but it could be done like this:

1 Type the text as normal.
2. Print it out.
3. Scan the page of printed text and save as a .jpg file
4. Open in Photoshop and Edit / Flip Horizontally
5. Save and Print.

Hopefully someone will suggest something simpler, but this will work. (I just tried it)

Good idea, but there's no reason to print it out first. Just print to a PDF file, then just reverse the PDF image file.

Hi Fj , thanks for the quick reply , unfortunately I don't have a scanner , I was hoping that may be I could download some thing that would allow me to just do the reverse typing :) , thanks any way .

Quite a few text editors, like Textmate (http://macromates.com), have a "Transpose feature" that will let you type everything out, select all, and reverse everything. Just a simple key command.

Just print to a PDF file, then just reverse the PDF image file.

But I am finding it difficult to get the pdf to reverse so your comment about ... text editors and ..."Transpose feature"
are most welcome , I really If I can want to find a freware
text editor if possible :)

further thoughts for the OP.... flipping the PDF image file is different than transposing the text.

Both ways will reverse the order of the letters, however flipping a pdf will also change the shape of the letters. ie a 'S' will be shaped more like a 'Z', or in other words the letters will be a mirror image. Could be hard for your students to recognize individual letters if reading off the paper.

If you want to kids to be able to read the text in the mirror, then the first method is good.

Transposing keeps the shape of the letters correct, and merely reorders them. Not good for mirror reading, but easier for reading off the page.
