How to connect?

Hi all,

I have a question..

We live in Antwerp (Belgium) and dad lives in Almunecar (Spain) on a mountain. He has a Macbook Pro and no internet but now with Skype he will go for any possible connection!
There is no phone, everyone uses a GSM or some kind of radio phone.
The radio phone gives a lot of frustrations because the long time to need to connect and the lost of connections......
Are there other options to connect to Belgium?

He could look into the possibility of Satellite broadband. It's available over quite a lot of Europe, so may be available where he is.
