Hey everyone, just a quick question. I going to purchase a new iMac in the near future (the lower-end model) and I am planning on upgrading the ram to 4gb myself. I did some research and i came upon a guide from Apple telling me how to go about doing this.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1760

I went to NewEgg and started looking for ram, and i came upon this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184

Good price, good ram. It seems to fit all the requirements for the iMac, except it is 240-pin instead of 200-pin.

Will this ram work in my upgrade? If not, can someone point me towards some quality, low-cost ram that will?

I greatly appreciate all the help you can give.

No, it has to be 200pin, otherwise it wont fit.

Yep, it is laptop memory required for the iMacs.

So don't search in the desktop section for memory for these machines if you aren't looking strictly in the Apple memory section of the site.

You missed the...You can use Small-Outline dual inline memory modules (SO-DIMMS) that meet all of these criteria:in your first link.
