Using a Verizon Samsung SCH-i760 with a Mac

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately I cannot switch to AT&T for an iPhone but I am up for a new phone with verizon and I want a smartphone. I was looking at the SCH-i760 by Samsung but it runs Windows Mobile Pro. Does anyone own this and sync with iCal, MacMail, etc? I an curious how well it syncs and if it is worth getting. I think people use an 3rd party program to manage the sync but I would like clarification.

Or if anyone can recommend a verizon smartphone for use with a Mac.

I wouldn't recommend Verizon in general; the bluetooth profiles are all crippled so you can't transfer files and stuff. It's weak.

i don't really have a choice. its a family plan with my brother and mom.
the BT isnt a big issue cause i can use USB but i know there are ways around the crippled BT (BitPim works great with my LG VX8300)

Crippled? You mean like the iPhone?


From what I've read, the i760 is a decent phone. Check out Howard Forums for good information. They have info on every phone and they have a decent mac user base so you should find your answer there.
