Anyone from Auckland planning on buying the iPhone 3G? I'm still awaiting details (presumably vodafone will speak here (http://www.vodafone.co.nz/iphone) first), but I'd like to know if they will offer pre-pay support, before I ditch my current iPhone.

Anyway, I may go along to a vodafone store with camera to snap some pics, after all, if it is launching at 6pm friday 11th, we will be the first in the world to have the new iPhone in hand

I'm in Dunedin, but maybe some of you can help us get a PrePaid iPhone???

You'll see I've sigged it :).

the.snitch, which store in Auckland are you planning to go to? Hope Vodafone doesn't go crazy with it's data pricing, it's too high already.

If Vodafone stick to their *current* pricing, and bundled data + voice (You Choose) plans together, we'd be looking at prices around the $60 mark for the cheapest plan (20 minutes anytime minutes and 200MB bundled data), i.e. Choose 20 + 200MB = $19.95 + $39.95 = $59.90.

Hopefully Vodafone comes up with something more tempting than this. But if the Blackberry plans (which also come with data + voice) are any indications, this may not be the case. :(

Three stores are open from Midnight 11th of July. Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. To view the stores, choose your city on the right.

Time to get queueing.... :-P

Alright, I'm on my way to the Vodafone Store Queen St. Hope to see others there.

I'll be the one in the diggnation shirt. :)
