I have been wanting to upgrade the memory in my Penryn Macbook to 4GB. Yesterday I wandered into Radio Shack and noticed they had 2GB memory sticks on sale for $49.99 each.

Don't know about the quality but since the price was good I went ahead and purchased two of them. They seem to work OK although I haven't run them through a complete memtest yet.

Has anyone heard anything about this memory? Here is the link to the sale:

You would have gotten a better deal here.

What's with the RAM paranoia? If it works then it works. Since it's a Penryn Macbook the major issue is going to be sticking with DDR2-667.

That's actually a different brand.

I plan on doing HD video editing which is the main reason for the upgrade. I will also be transferring old vinyl records to CD.

It's still cheaper. :D

I've had mine for almost 7 months now.
Cool! True, I looked around a bit and saw some cheaper upgrades but there is also the instant gratification factor. :) I guess I was just wondering if anyone has had a bad experience with Centon RAM.
