View Full Version : Streamline.net - WARNING!

I've been using Streamline.net to host a website for a charity, www.sustainableglobalgardens.com, for the last year and a half.

Since day one I've had FTP connectivity issues, slow speeds and of course, the dreaded downtime. One particular bout of downtime was THREE WEEKS in length, all because the staff at Streamline reset my database password, didn't tell me what it was and couldn't then re-reset the password. That little problem took 37 support tickets to solve.

So, this is a warning to those of you that are considering Streamline.net. Their complaints department are a joke, if you have any problems outside their 28 day refund policy, you can take a hike.

In my humble opinion, do not choose Streamline.net as a host. I've just got the necessary auth codes to move host.

Good riddance.

Had similar problems, there mysql servers are terrible and so so slow. Always had database connection issues with them.

Moved to fast2host, they have been brill and support php and ruby and are a hella lot faster.

Funny you mention SQL servers as I'm just trying to export our WordPress database and it's dog slow...

I'm so disappointed with their service I'm considering a) taking them to court b) making a www.donthostwithstreamline.net, hosted by themselves as an example of their shoddy service or c) crying with frustration!

My advice is to get over it and move on.

You like me chose to use them, then once you realized the bad service like me to chose to leave them.

End of the story, they loose a customer you loose nothing.

Another warning about Streamline.

Our charity site is down again. Look for yourself at www.sustainableglobalgardens.org. That's the fourth time this year.

I meant to move to Bluehost but didn't get a chance until today. Hopefully they can solve the database connectivity issues they create to allow me to backup my WordPress database.

Support from Streamline is limited and useless.

DO NOT USE STREAMLINE FOR ANYTHING!
