L lupin.terzo macrumors newbie Jun 16, 2008 #5 I've been the happy owner of a Powerbook G4 during 4 years at university and I'm still using it now. It's beginning to feel slow: WoW, some java apps, Photoshop, video conversion, but it is still pretty fast with others applications. So I think that you should be able to live with it during all that time. Even the low end it's a very nice dual core Laptop. If you can wait I suggest you wait some time and see what happens with Montevina. Otherwise just buy it now. Good luck! Andrea

W wesrk macrumors 6502a Jun 16, 2008 #6 it sure can, I took my dell from 2003 with me to school and it worked fine, I used to term papers and just to check email, just to keep it in use, but it wasn't my main computer. the real question is, will it still suffice your needs in 4 years?
