iPod touch Calibrate Accelerometer?

sometimes my ipod seems to have to be turned slightly sideways for it to register as being on a level surface. is there a way to calibrate the accelerometer to fix this?

Unfortunately, no there is no calibreton tool for non jailbroken ipod touches, but if jailbroken, i think an app could be dreamed up
