I friend has sent me a file with the .mdb extention. I think it's a Microsoft Access file. How can I open this on a Mac?

Thanks

You need to use Access. There is not a Mac version of this. You need to run it under VPC or on a real PC. Sorry!

I don't have Access here right now, but one other trick we frequently use is to try to open some of these data files in Excel, save and reopen that in Filemaker. If you've got Excel, you might try that.

I tried Excel but had no luck. It must be bad when a Microsoft product won't talk to another Microsoft product.
