View Full Version : MacBook inbuilt keyboard (PMU/NVRAM) issue

My Macbook has recently started ignoring the inbuilt keyboard and touchpad. The only way I can solve this is removing battery, wires etc and holding down the power button for 5 seconds.

Other evidence that the problem lies in the PMU/NVRAM is that without this procedure, startup and shutdown take an age - especially on windows

Any ideas before I just wipe/reinstall?

Thanks

PS. Yes I have repeatedly zapped the PRAM - there is definitely no PRAM-zapping left to do.

Could be a loose keyboard-to-logic board connection that the flip (to pop out the battery) reseats.
