Dear Firefox 3 users,

It has been noted on various threads that FF3 RC users have experienced system crashes after upgrading Mac OS X to 10.5.3. It was noted that a workaround solution was implemented into the final release of FF3, to avoid the bug in Mac OS 10.5.3.

I am now using the public release of the latest FF3, but I am still encountering problems. Twice my FF3 application crashed so badly that I had to cold boot. I could not terminate the application using the Force Quit function in the Finder / Activity Monitor, nor could I shut down my iMac in the normal fashion. Depression of the power switch for 5 seconds was required on both occasions.

I was wondering if any other users have experienced similar problems with the latest FF3? This is very inauspicious for a recent "Firefox convert" who has used Netscape from inception till June 17th, 2008.

Thank for your help.

JC
