Getting 2.0 on my iphone while away

Is it easy to update your phone when you do it on your not usual syncing computer?

For example I sync my iPhone on my iMac but I am going to the beach from July 3-14 and how can will it be easy to update my iphone on my laptop July 11 or 12?

I believe that while you can't sync, you can still update.
