One way is as follows:

- Select the drive or folder you want to search.
- Select "Find..." from the File menu.
- On the kind drop box select "Last modified date" or "created date".
- Select the rest of the search criteria and the files that fall within that criteria will appear in the search finder window.
You can also combine the search critieria to include both modified and create dates by clicking the "+" button on the search criteria line and adding the other criteria.
