I just got my macbook pro the other day along with my free ipod touch. I finally got my Mail on my MBP to work with my school account which is a typical name@school.edu form. I tried setting up mail on my ipod touch using the same names and everything i used on my laptop, as well as using gmail as my outgoing source..which was the only way i could get mail to work on my MBP...but it keeps saying that smpt.gmail.com isnt valid or somethng.
Is there any way i could just sync my mail through itunes to my touch to avoid all this problem?
EDIT: I guess my mac new i was bad talking it, because it figured it out and did it on its own.
