Howdy...

I was just wandering how to like reformat my mac.

I have 10.5.3 and want to go back to my original disks (10.5), to delete everything on my computer and start again.

Thanks.

Insert disk, and restart holding down the "D" key on the keyboard. Once the computer loads the disk, you'll have the option to install. When you get to the final screen, click "options" and choose 'Erase and Install.'

Although, can I ask why you wish to do this? There might be a better solution.

Lol, Thanks.

Read one of my other posts, about the Firefox Virus.
Ive just checked and it happens with every browser, i just download opera and it happens there.

And besides ive backed up everything important.
Im also running low on space and im gettijng rid of things i have and dont need, such as dead files.

Thanks again.

You can always use the Archive and Install option; that way you won't loose settings and applications. And you can go backwards because I have gone from 10.5.4 to 10.5.2.

Yeah thats a good option, but to be honest i want to go back to the beginning.
I dont have much on here anyway, just a home use computer.

Ive backed up all my other files.

The problem is i dont know how to reformat, it says i need more space, but i want to delete everything and start over.

Thanks.
