Updates during the Back-to-school deal? realistic?

Has Apple ever updated any product invloved in the Back to school deal (iPods, MB, MBP or iMac) during the actual event? does it make sense to wait for a new macbook this summer?

This is a simple thing to check. Last year they updated the imacs during the back to school special. I bought a new imac and received the ipod deal, so yes they have done it in the past.

It's definitely possible. It's happened before, and it could happen again. Also, I can't help but notice that both the printer promotion and the .Mac/MobileMe promotion end on July 21, maybe a new product will launch then?

Apple also updated the entire iPod line on September 5th last year which was a week or two before the promotion ended I believe.
