iPhone 3g questions: Speakers, iPhone first gen price drop and T-Mobile compatibility

First off, does anyone know if the 3Gs speakers will have improved? Second, how long before we see a price drop in the iPhone first gen market, its insane right now, they're going for 1-3 hundred more than original, I wanna get one (unless the 3G has better speakers and gets a 32 gig upgrade come later this year) but its just absurd to pay that much for a last gen iphone, atleast I think so. And lastly, if I just wanna use EDGE again, with no 3G whatsoever, could I still use the 3g on T-Mobile?
 
1) Apple said the speakers have improved clarity and sound.
2) I dont think the 1st gen iPhone's will go down in price because they will be the only ones you can unlock for a while, when someone figures out how to unlock the 3G, then the 1st gen iPhone's will get cheaper.
3) No, you cant use 3G on T-Mobile
