First of all, I love OSX' system-wide dictionary/spell check, second, Dictionary.app searches wiki! 😀😱🙂 How did I not know this before, and how long has it been a feature? I love it!

Its the little things like this that make me a happy Mac user :apple:

It came with Leopard, there were quite a few people complaining about the feature before it was released, saying they didn't want it and so forth.

Weird people.

I personally don't use it much, but I can see how it could be useful.

Pardon the ignorance..I'm new to mac.. I don't even understand what that feature is that you love? Can you please explain!

thanks

The wiki search is cool!
Something else I found after downloading a tips podcast from iTunes (Apple Quick Tips, Tip 45, 21/04/08). It's cool!
highlight a word in any cocoa app (pages, adium, textedit etc) then hit
CMD + CTRL + D
Shweet! 😀

if you hold down the key combo you can move the cursor around and highlight any word you like. Check out the podcast

ckesten; the OP was talking about the ability to search wikipedia from within Dictionary.app by clicking th dictionary tab

You don't even have to highlight - just click the cursor anywhere over the word and do CMD+CTRL+D and it brings up the definition.
