Hi guys! this is my first post yay yay!!
so when do you think that there will be an update to the iMac? will there be one before August 15?
Should i wait to get the refreshed one or just go ahead and buy this one cuz i've been waiting for 2 1/2 Years. The current imacs suit my needs but if i can get better specs for my money then i might want to do that. Any Advice?

They were updated April 28, so don't expect to see iMac updates for a while, and certainly not by Aug. 15. If you've been waiting 2.5 years and it suits your needs fine, why wait?

what is montevina anyway? just a chipset or a new processor? how will it affect the imac refresh? what features will it add, any of them significant?

...you'd have to be a pretty serious computer hardware geek to get excited about montevina...the average person would never be able to tell the difference between the two. Heck, the above average person wouldn't. If you're looking to buy an iMac, don't let this hold you back. I've had my Macbook Pro since they announced its existence, and I'm still perfectly happy with it and it's non-Core 2 Duo processors. These things will run for miles if you treat them right.
