well I have one of the new I macs with the 8800gt and I just wanted to put down the specs for some stress test I have put it though.

My I mac Is the 24" model with 2.8ghz processor, 4gbs of ram and a 500gb hd.

My vista score average was a 5.6

ram 5.9

hd 5.9

graphics 5.8

processor 5.6

Then I ran HL 2 and was able to get 203 fps with the recommend settings for the hardware. I get steady 60fps with everything turned all the way up.

with counter-strike source I get 107.85 fps with everything turn all the way up.

with team fortress 2 I got about 30-60 fps with everything all the way up, but some of that problem is that I am using my wireless card so if you have faster internet you should get more fps with an ethernet connection.

enjoy

first no-one can make anything up of your scores unless you give averages first. Second their is no such thing as a 28" imac model. Third -_- for running windhoes on it...

I want a 28" model!!
Anyway, I'll send in some reports once I get my hands on a SP2 cd. Mine's SP0 ;). I've got a 24" iMac w/ 2.4ghz, 2gb ram (soon to be 4), and the ATI 2600.

no I am not dumb, but team Forrest 2 is completely online if the internet lags so does the video.

Im sorry I my spelling is wrong, but I would like to point out that calling me names will only make it worse.

I mac?

Seriously?

I mean usually I could care less but that's just terrible. That's probably worse than when people say MAC (i.e.; "I love my new MAC").

team fortress 2 is a completely online game, thus yes internet connection does matter.

Yeah, that install was just for spyware.

Faster Internet connections only get you faster updates of everyone else's position.

sorry i do have a 24-inch model. yes I have tested it many times internet connections do matter when you play online, there is no way in the world my wireless card can out do a gigabit ethernet. ( it won't make much of a difference but it still makes a difference )

In my experience, wireless does tend to create more 'lag' then ethernet.

Having a faster connected does not equal better FPS in any case.

And 28" would be amazing, lol liquid sex
