This is kind of a specialized question...
I am purchasing a 12" G4 Powerbook tomorrow that is being sold because part of the wall adapter broke off and is stuck inside of the DC-IN port, and has likely rendered the part useless.
I currently own a 233mhz G4 Powerbook, which has the same port on it. Would it be possibly to either switch out the DC card from the G3 to the G4? If not, could I switch out the actual port, perhaps with the help of a soldiering iron and a steady hand?
This powerbook is a steal, and I would be an idiot for not taking it, but I don't want to spend a fortune fixing it up, either.
Thanks in advance.
