i need help about making a 2 year contract with at&T

i currently have pay as u go iphone and im hearing that u can only get the iphone 3g with a contract , im willing to do the contract the problem is im not from the united states so i dont have a social security number, is there anything else they can ask u for to check ur credit? i pay my taxes and have a ITIM number does that help?
 
Why are you asking a Mac forum? If I were you, I'd be checking with the ATT store/corporate. It's their call, (I think?)
