Is it normal to push discs all the way into Mac Mini drive?

I have a Mac Mini, and I'm jut wondering if it's normal to have to push the discs all the way into the drive, and then have the Mac Mini just quickly rush it in at the end. Is something wrong with my Mac or is it just Apple thinking different?

I don't think so...

My BlackBook takes it in as soon as i put the disc near!

I have to do that in my TiBook. When I had my Mac Mini it was never like that. Maybe the drive is getting old/wearing out??

The Mac Mini is not even 2 months old yet.

My mini is just about a month old and has done that from day one, I'd say you a-okay.😀

yea that's what mine does. it never struck me as being unusual.
