This has been well-known for a while, as well as the fact that one will still be able to purchase new copies of XP for at least the next six months--just not direct from MS. Official MS support of XP will continue until 2014, and I'd bet there's still more installed and in-use copies of XP vs. Vista come the release of Windows7.
