Macbook with iphone or macbook air with free ipod

Hey guys,

I needed your help in whether i should buy a macbook or macbook air by using the back to college offer apple.com. I could get a black macbook plus an 8gb 3g iphone. That would equal $1399(the college offer)+$199 for the iphone. Or I could get a macbook air for $1699 (the college offer)+a free ipod. Please let me know your opinions b stating the pros and cons of each decision. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. GO :apple::p

I would recommend the MBA over any Mac notebook!

well you didnt account for the phone plan at all lol

id get the mb over the air, esp if you are considering it since it is loads cheaper and is much more capable

those that need the air know it. you dont seem to fit that category


id suggest a mb and an ipod touch. if you really needed an iphone, then why would the computer affect it at all?

your options make no sense to me at all lol

PS I love my MBA but save the money and get a MB

If it's your only computer, a MBA probably wouldn't suffice. Get a Macbook.

Uhh, the answer is simple. You're buying a laptop, so figure out what your needs are in that department, rather than by what the laptop is bundled with.

i say mb if you don't really need something as thin as an air. That way, you get your MB + an ipod (which you could sell), and a printer for free on top of an iphone.

After using the iPhone, I felt a rapidly diminishing need to have a ultraportable laptop.
