i really want to jailbreak my ipod touch so i put it in recovery mode. well my two pc's will not download the 1.1.1 firmware. if there is any other way of jailbreaking my ipod which is already in recovery mode let me know.

ziphone worked but now I can't watch videos or listen to music

Yes you can. Just download MobileCast to watch podcasts, and install Floola for video and music.
