Did anyone happen to notice if the new Xserve motherboard was similar or the same as the one that was posted on eBay not too long ago?

No it is not. The one that was on e-bay had vertical PCI slots, and there were four of them. Also there was an independent AGP slot.

Nope, the one on e-bay is a tower board. Not a rack-mount. Look for it in July at MWNY.

no, the ebay one only had 1 ethernet port, and it had vertical pci slots.

And of course the mystery plug was absent on this board, so the prototype was exactly that, a one of a kind. Still, it was interesting and maybe some of the tech will be seen on the new Desktops.

Servers dont usually have more than 2 PCI slots, or AGP slots.
