I know my memory maxes out at 2Gb, but is there HDD size limit? I've got 160Gb 7200 hdd and i'm thinking of getting a larger sized 5400 rpm hdd.

i believe I found the answer after doing more research. No one's really mentioned a limit so i can only assume it's limited only by what's available.

The only limitation is the dimensions of the HD...not the amount of storage space. Right now, there are 500GB HD's that will work.

Nope no limitations. The largest notebook HDD available right now is 500gb.

theoretically the max size of a SATA HDD is in the petabyte region, but the largest notebook HDD's available are 500GB.

awesome, so in that case, i'll be on the prowl to swap my 7200 drive for a larger capacity 5400 one

heh was just googling this very question and got this thread as a result.

Contemplating going for a 320GB drive or possibly 400GB to go in a new white macbook however does the larger size reduce access time/battery life ?
