I'm going to add to my response and say if they are out of black, I will get white. White has one advantage over black in the area of showing scratches, smudges etc.

When the Ipod video was white and black, the black would show the slightest of swirl scratches, the white hides them extremely well.

So the OCD in me will favor the white as a last resort. :)

Well, to answer the 2nd part, if they sell out of the white I'd consider the black. I actually need to see both in person to decide which I like best, and whether I'd go with my 2nd choice of my 1st choice is sold out. Depends on if I like both equally or almost equally, or love one and hate the other, you know?

I love the White Apple products because they are so different and stand out and are nice and clean, but I don't know how it will look with the two-toned front and back together so I will wait to see them in person, but I am leaning toward the black.

Wanted a black one, but when I made a call for my reservation they said they're all out. So I had to reserve a white one.

I want a black one, but I remember how badly the black nanos and black videos scratched. You could see fingerprints and scratches on the black, hardly at all on the white ones. I'm gonna make my mind up when I ask for it at checkout on July 11th :)
