spaces problem?

I think I shouldve posted here sorry about the double post

well here is what i wrote

Is anyone getting this?
I use 4 spaces.
When I turn my imac on spaces only goes left to right.(Even though I see all 4 spaces) I have to go into system preferences and turn the bottom row to none then back to one. Then I can finally use my 4 spaces.
