Bondi Blue iMac won't start up

I purchased a used bondi blue imac and it wont start... I hit the power button and it doesn't even flinch.

Nothin.

Any ideas? Where do I start?

My limited Mac tech experience suggests a PRAM Battery can be a good place to start? Then once I get it starting, just startup from the CD and just wipe the whole system clean?

I would say that the plan you have to get a new battery and then wipe everything and clean install is a very logical approach.
