I was looking to disable some startup programs in vista (thru bootcamp) and i noticed
IRW.exe (C:\Windows\system32\IRW.exe).

I looked it up online and most things i read said it was some sort of malware (probably a virus). I also found that it is made by apple. So is this part of bootcamp or is it a virus. (i dont see how it can be a virus because i just installed windows and have not downloaded anything at all yet).

Boot Camp (http://www.runscanner.net/files/exe/irw/irw.exe.aspx)

it's the IR control app. if you won't need the remote, you should be fine removing it from startup. best of luck.
