What is the latest OS I can install on iMac bondi blue 4GB HD. It is running 9.2 and I think I can get a 10 on there. It was built in 1998 so it is a tray loading bondi, not the later slot loading machine.
Thanks for your help.

I don't really know all too much about Apple hardware (well the computer side), but I horribly doubt Leopard can be installed because you'd need a DVD drive; Tiger, perhaps, because that could be exchanged for CDs rather than DVDs. But in the end I'm just throwing out ideas, I really don't know.

From looking it up on the web:
Depends on the ram. Jaguar has a minimum requirement of 128mb and a 4gb hd. The old Rev A iMac should max out at 394mb. Rev B would handle some more. But I think Rev A is the tray loading one.

Puma also has a 128 requirement.

So it really comes down to RAM. (what do you have?)

I believe the max for that model is 384mb RAM according to wikipedia. Get that in there and Tiger will run fine. Even 256 will do.
