I am stuck in a hotel for the forseable future. Unfortunately the only ports open are 22, 80, 443, and 2000. I'd like to be able to play Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 but in order to join battle.net games I need to have port 6112 open.
I have access to a linux box offsite with an open port 22, 80, 443, and 6112. Can I route traffic meant for port 6112 on my local machine (mbp) through an SSH tunnel running on port 22 to the remote machine? I think I am getting confused about the differences between port forwarding and tunneling. Hopefully someone can clarify for me.
Thanks!
