This is my third attempt to post this....

My computer had a melt down last night. iMac 600mhz (latest version of 10.2).

I tried to reload my firewall and then was never able to re-boot in OSX. I ran First Aid and Nortons disk repair in Classic and came up with these problems:

Problem: Custom icon missing
Problem: Mount Check found serious errors
Problem: Overlapped extent allocation
Problem: Volume bit Map nees minor repair
Problem: Volume header needs minor repair.

Unable to complete repairs. The volume "BLARNEY" was unable to mount.

So what do I do to get back to where I was a working computer under OS X. I'm getting an external HD before I turn it back so I can back everything up before attemptimg anything, but if you could help that would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.

Get DiskWarrior 3. It fixed all my problems!

Yes, use anything but Norton Utilities.

DiskWarrior, Drive 10, Tech Tool (Deluxe, Pro) will help you and not give you false messages.

Thanks for the info.

Anyone else have some ideas (trying to avoid spending 80 bucks right now)?
