AppleTV can no longer be seen by Mac Pro

out of the blue, I changed the Sync settings in iTunes and suddenly the AppleTV disappeared from the Devices.

I can ping the AppleTV from the terminal in my mac pro, the AppleTV can go to flickr and get pictures. It's an ethernet connection, so no wireless shenanigans...

Any clues?

This just got funnier. I can play music through the AppleTV by using the selection box at the bottom-right hand of iTunes and selecting "AppleTV" rather than 'Computer'. But it still won't show up in Devices, and the AppleTV won't let me see my computer's library.

Have you tried resetting the iTunes account that the Apple TV connects to for syncing data through the Apple TV settings?
