anyone know a good lightbox like app that'll show me thumbnails/previews of files on my harddrive?

Bridge really sucks for me, and always crashes or freezes up, or doesn't show half the files.

suggestions?

thank you in advance.

i don't believe it shows what the actual image looks like, just a file icon that say tiff or jpg or whatever it is, if it's not made in photoshop or something

I have Leopard. Finder shows little thumbnails of the files. Are you looking for something else?

quicklook?

just select the file and hit the space bar. (assuming you are running leopard...)
The greatest invention since the PowerBook G5...

Too bad bridge sucks for you. Its probably the most under-rated CS app there is. Its essential for good workflow production, really is a bridge :p

Maybe you can look into seeing what's wrong with your bridge and it not showing all your files right and freezing up on you.

Even on current machines I've never been able to get Bridge into my workflow. It's not fast and eats resources for lunch.

Resources...

It's of course on how you use it, and taking the time to organize(wish I could do that more). I find it most helpful in ID, and the use of a shared projects between multiple designers.

Photomechanic? only really works with jpegs and tiffs. Photoreviewer, umm im sure there are more but can't remember them off hand.

Is Bridge suppose to show AutoCAD files?? I don't see why not Illustrator can work with the .DWG files from AutoCad. I've worked with many different files in order to work in the size restraints of packaging.
