I thought you needed a membership to access this discount? I got as far as checkout so maybe you don't?

You can place an order if you like, but it won't get approved unless you have the proper ADC assets listed in your account.

But yes, anyone can play around in the store to see pricing.

I Thought the discount was more than That... only $100 more than the student discount?

^^^2 things:

1. The discount is generally about 20%, the higher the price, the greater the dollar savings. And since the cheapest ADC level (student) is $99/year, you lose the benefit of the additional discount over EDU pricing on cheap machines. Unless of course you actually do want to take advantage of the other ADC program benefits.

2. He linked to the Canadian ADC store, so make sure you're comparing like currencies. :)
