While I, too, have heard that it is impossible for a single person to tip a cow, the creator of that webpage left off something important:

If you can budge the cow and get it to sway a little bit, you can push harder and harder every time the sway is starting to go away from you, similar to sitting on a swing and starting from there. I'm thinking it might be possible to tip a cow this way, although I'm not sure.

@badandy - sure... You could try that, but I can just about guarantee you that cow's going to wake up before you get enough sways in.

LOL That's a lil more aggressive than "tipping", sounds a lil more like vehicular homicide! :p

Not to threadjack, but I love that movie! my local Fry's (http://www.outpost.com) has this on their HDTV and Sony Blu-Ray DVD player on constant repeat. I go there sometimes on lunch and get sucked into the whole bloody movie.

"I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park!" Classic.

But eh... maybe something for the team of Mythbusters?

Definitely a summer activity, me thinks – I wouldn't fancy lurking in a field with a cow in the middle of a cold winter night. It would be Friesian.

Oddly, I read the heading and thought this was about tipping cows, as in, say, Indians worship the cow and offer tips.

I grew up in the country and I've got to agree with PlaceofDis...Never made any sense to me. Seems pretty mean, all in all.

So the cows can't get back up after you tip them over, right? I'm not a hillbilly, so I'm pretty ignorant on such matters. ;)

Ive never seen a cow tipping, nor have I participated in one. Even with the millions in my state...

Anyway, to my understanding, if you physically shove over a large bovine from standing to its side...would not all their rib bones break from the impact?

IMO its a cruel idea to even think of.

At least use that stun bolt thing first and then eat the cow afterwards!

It doesn't matter what you've heard, Cow tipping is a myth, Cows don't sleep standing. Yea I googled it. I checked youtube also, no videos. If cow tipping was true, there'd be at least 1 video on youtube. Case closed, I always thought cow tipping was true.
