Do I need to do the Optional Install after I upgrade to Leopard

I just finished upgrading to leopard, do I have to do the optional install to update mail, ichat, address book, and safari?
 
If you want to update Mail, iChat, Address...

Wait... why is that not in Leopard?!

Oh, do you mean Apple Software Update? Yeah, do those.
 
Not unless you want to use them , if you do , install them then use Software Update to get everything upto date ..make sure to run SU a few times until there is nothing else to update
